Stream giveaway wheel

A stream giveaway wheel is a raffle the chat can watch. Post the rules, paste the list, show it, spin, remove each winner, and go fullscreen. NamesWheel does not plug into OBS.

Rules first, then the list

Say who can enter, how they enter, how many winners, and what they win. Post that in chat or on the overlay before anyone thinks a name is already on the wheel.

Then paste one entry per line. Clean duplicates if your rule is one chance per person. Leave extra tickets in if your rule allows them. The list you show is the list you spin. Do not edit after you promise it is locked unless you say so in the open.

A livestream giveaway spinner is only as fair as the list. If mods add names, say that. If you pull from comments later, say when the cutoff is. Viewers argue about process more than prizes. Write the process once and keep it on screen.

Show the list, then spin

Put the raffle wheel on the projector or a capture window. Scroll the list. Read a few names. Then press Spin the wheel or Space.

The winner is chosen before the animation. Read the name out loud. Copy it if you need a receipt. Don’t repeat winners should stay on so the same handle does not win twice in one draw.

Fullscreen hides extra chrome so the wheel is the show. A projector palette helps on a bright stream. Sounds and confetti are optional. If you use reduced motion, the result still lands. The spin is animation, not the pick.

Remove the winner and keep going

One spin per prize is clearer than asking for three winners in one motion. The chat sees first, then second, then third.

History keeps the order. Export or copy names if you need a record after the stream. Reset history when the next giveaway starts. New wheel if the list changes.

If you need a prize wheel instead of a name list, open the prize tool and load prizes as slices. That is a different job: one guest spins for a gift, not a list of entrants. The giveaway hub has both.

What this tool does not do

NamesWheel is a browser wheel. It does not add an OBS source, read Twitch chat, or auto-enter viewers. Capture the tab or window if you want it on stream.

That is enough for most giveaways. You already have a list. You already talk to chat. The wheel’s job is a visible random pick. Do not promise a bot you do not have.

If you need chat-to-list automation, that is a different product. Here you paste, show, spin, and remove. The randomness page is there if a viewer asks how the winner is chosen. Link it in chat once and keep going.

Proof the room can trust

Keep the list on screen. Keep Don’t repeat on. Keep history. If you redraw, say why. If a name is wrong, edit it in the open.

A 10,000-draw test lives on the randomness page. You can run it before the stream if you want. You do not need to run it live. The method does not change because a camera is on.

The fair giveaway guide is the same process without the stream framing. Use that page if you are in a hall instead of a livestream. The raffle wheel is the same tool either way.

Post the rules, show the list, spin the raffle wheel, and remove each winner. That is a livestream giveaway spinner. Capture the tab if you need it on camera. There is no OBS feature to wait for. If chat asks how the pick works, link the randomness page once and keep the draw moving. The giveaway hub has the prize wheel if the job is gifts instead of names.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Promising an OBS plugin or chat bot that this site does not ship.
  • Editing the list after you said it was locked, without saying so.
  • Leaving Don’t repeat off so the same handle can win twice.

Common questions

How do I run a stream giveaway wheel?

Post the rules, paste entries on the raffle wheel, show the list, spin, and remove each winner. Go fullscreen if you capture the tab.

Does NamesWheel work with OBS?

You can capture the browser tab or window. There is no OBS plugin, chat bot, or stream overlay shipped with the app.

How do I keep the same person from winning twice?

Leave Don’t repeat winners on. That is the elimination draw used for raffles.

How is the winner chosen on stream?

The same way as any NamesWheel spin: crypto.getRandomValues before the animation. The randomness page shows the method.

Where do I go for a prize wheel instead of names?

Open the prize wheel or the giveaway hub. Those pages load prizes as slices, not a list of entrants.
