NamesWheel vs Picker Wheel

NamesWheel and Picker Wheel both paste a list, spin, and show a result. They differ on accounts, modes, cloud files, Premium extras, and whether a public randomness page exists.

Open the wheel of names

The same job

Both sites let you type or paste choices, spin a wheel, and read a winner. You can use either one without paying.

Both offer elimination-style draws, weights, colors, labels, sounds, confetti, and fullscreen. Both can save work locally. Neither page on this comparison copies the other site’s UI or assets.

If you only need one spin on a short list, either tool will do the job. The rest of this page is for people choosing a home: cloud files and Premium extras on one side, no account and a public fairness test on the other.

Honest differences

These cells are facts both sites publish. We do not guess about private code. If a cell is wrong later, the date tells you when we looked.

When Picker Wheel is a good fit

Choose Picker Wheel if you want normal, elimination, and accumulation modes on one wheel, image slices, or a free account that stores cloud files.

Premium adds ad-free viewing, branding, higher limits, and extra share or embed options. AI input suggestions can fill a list from a short prompt, with a quota. Result collection is built for hosts who want other people to spin and send results back.

Up to five wheels can sit in one session. The public help text says only the active wheel is saved on refresh, so treat the extras as a working set, not a library. Those are real strengths. This page is not a smear.

When NamesWheel is a better fit

Choose NamesWheel if you want no account, a simple paste-and-spin, classroom and giveaway tools, and a public page that shows how the winner is chosen.

Lists stay in this browser. The winner is chosen with crypto.getRandomValues before the animation. Don’t repeat winners covers elimination. A weighted wheel, fullscreen, projector palette, sounds, confetti, and reduced motion are included. There is no premium plan.

The student picker, raffle wheel, prize wheel, and team picker are separate URLs for those jobs. The randomness page lets anyone run a 10,000-draw test in the browser. Ads may still show. We say that so this is not an ad-free pitch.

Switch in 30 seconds

Copy your list as plain text. Open NamesWheel. Paste one name per line. Press Spin the wheel.

Turn on Don’t repeat winners if you need elimination. Open the student picker or raffle wheel if the job is class or a giveaway. We do not import Picker Wheel accounts or cloud files. Secure random selection.

Check for duplicates. Spin once as a test. Start a new wheel if the real draw needs a clean list. There is no file format to learn. The randomness page is one click away if you want to see the method first.

Picker Wheel is a strong choice for modes, images, cloud files, and Premium extras. NamesWheel is a strong choice for no sign-up, a labelled spin button, classroom and giveaway tools, and a public fairness page. Last checked: 11 October 2026. Copy your list and try one spin here if you want the local-first version of the same job. We do not use their logo or UI. The table is the whole claim.
